They can be configured to serve such diverse applications as concrete mixers, dump trucks, cranes, street sweepers, and fire and emergency vehicles. The Sterling family includes the A-Line of on-highway trucks, the Set-Back L-Line of highway or off-road tractors, and the Sterling Set-Forward which is perfect for the dump, utility and government/municipality markets. Sterling also has the medium-duty Acterra, the LCOE Sterling 360 for urban use, and the new Sterling Bullet, a truck ideally suited for construction, utility, government/municipality, and P&D applications.


Sterling is headquartered in Redford, Michigan, in the Detroit metropolitan area. Its L-Line, A-Line and Acterra trucks are built at the St. Thomas, Ontario, plant. Sterling trucks are sold and serviced through network of dealerships in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
